Child and Adolescent Health is a growing research theme at the School of Public Health and Community Medicine and spans a broad range of research areas aiming to improve the health and wellbeing of children and young people. We are leading research that is focused on the growing burden of non-communicable diseases among children and young people particularly around nutrition, alcohol and other drugs, mental health, injury, violence and self-harm, as well as infectious diseases, sexual and reproductive health. This seminar will provide insight into three key projects led by researchers and HDR candidates from the Child and Adolescent Health theme. The presentations will explore community led research and solutions covering sexual and reproductive health in Indonesia, Aboriginal child injury prevention as well as nutrition and disordered eating among young people.

  2. Community-led solutions to prevent Aboriginal child injury: Introducing the CHIPP program – Nellie Pollard-Wharton and Melanie Andersen
