Research shows that just one hour a week of exercise help can help prevent against depression. When it comes to your mental health, exercise doesn't have an exact prescription. Including small amounts of exercise as a broader part of a healthy lifestyle can result in significant benefits to your mental health, including improving memory, concentration and brain performance, improving sleep, reducing stress and anxiety, building self-esteem and improving socialisation. It can also help relax the mind under acute bouts of intense stress.
