Scientia Professor David Cooper AO, Director of the Kirby Institute at UNSW Sydney, was a leading HIV and infectious disease researcher and clinician who passed away on 18 March 2018.

In honour of Professor Cooper’s vision of treatment access for all, an academic symposium is being held at UNSW Sydney, bringing together Australian and international leaders in infectious disease research.

The Kirby Institute, UNSW Sydney, St Vincent’s Hospital and community partners join the Cooper family in hosting a public memorial service to honour the life and work of David Cooper.
